Keira Knightley does her best at appearing less ethereal in her latest interview with Marie Claire, but she can't quite escape the spotlight.

As a screen star and fashion icon, Knightley has only garnered more attention over the years. The striking actress has enjoyed versatility in her roles, playing everything from "The Duchess" to "Domino."

Despite her success, Knightley indicates she takes it all with a grain of salt.

"My career is on the verge of being ridiculous all the time; it's all smoke and mirrors," she tells the mag, out on newsstands Feb. 12.

KEIRA Knightley is panicking about her wedding!

The actress, 28, hasn’t managed to put together any plans for her big day with fiance James Righton.

“She gets flustered when it is mentioned. She’s getting ideas and trying no to stress. What matters to her most is being with him,” a source said.

The star previously admitted she felt pressured by the media to rush into their marriage and have kids thanks to constant speculation as to whether she and her Klaxons musician beau are expecting their first child.

'I couldn't stand up': Keira Knightley caught unusual illness pleurisy (LONDON EVENING STANDARD)

Keira Knightley caught pleurisy, but ignored it as she thought she had just hurt a rib.

The actress was struck by the lung problem last year, characterised by a pain when sufferers breathe, but thought she had just hurt one of her ribs.

She said: "You do period films and you get some sort of weird archaic disease. And I didn't realise, so I went on for another month. I just stupidly never went to a doctor."

"I was rehearsing for this play and then I found in rehearsals it got so bad that I couldn't stand up any more."

"And they said: 'Please, can you go to the doctor?' "

The 27-year-old star has since turned to yoga to help keep her limber, but that has also resulted in a few injuries.

She told the Australian edition of Harper's Bazaar magazine: "My body at the end of last year was breaking and I thought, 'I've really got to try and do something'.
